History

H A M B R O O K

Our beautiful early 19th century barn has had many guises over the years, including being a changing room for the local Hambrook football team.  But its primary use was as a malt house for the drying of hops to be used by George’s Brewery. The hops were dried using open fires on the first floor – one of the many stunning original features you will notice when you walk in, along with the exposed stone walls and wooden beams.
